You can read our Terms & Conditions here

How do I cancel or amend my reservation?

Cancellations/amendments are accepted by email only. If you’ve booked a non-refundable rate then it’s not possible to cancel/amend your booking. See our Terms & Conditions  for more information on the cancellations.

Why do you need my credit card details?

We need your credit card details to make a reservation, as full payment may be taken at the time of booking.

Can I still book if I don’t have a credit or debit card?

Unfortunately, not. You’ll need a credit or debit card to secure your booking.

What payment methods do you accept upon check-in?

If payment hasn’t been taken beforehand, cash is accepted. Credit cards are accepted for bookings that have been made on other websites, where payment hasn’t been made in advance.

Can I just turn up to the hostel to book a bed/room?

Yepp! We always encourage to book at the desk as you may get a discount! It can get busy though, especially in the summer, so we’d suggest giving us a call on +44 (0)20 7833 8393 (London) or +44 (0)12 7369 5866 (Brighton) to check availability.

Why do the rates vary?

Rates can vary for different reasons. A lot of the time, it’s down to availability and how busy it is in the city as well as special events (e.g. NYE).

Do you have any special offers or discounts?

We have different offers all year round. Just check out our Special Offers  for more info. To make sure you’re getting the best rate, get in touch with us directly. You can book on the London website, Brighton Website, by phone or just email us!

How do I make a group booking?

If there’s 6 or more of you who’d like to book to stay with us, please get in touch with our Groups Department

Will my friends and I all be in the same room?

We try our best to keep you all together, however, we cannot guarantee it.

Can I bring children under 16 years of age?

We welcome kids 12 years old or older in private bookings. Children under 16 must be booked in private rooms or the whole party must take over a whole dorm. Teenagers aged 16 and 17 can be booked into shared dorms as long as they’re with one of the parents/legal guardian.

How long can I stay in the hostel?

You can book for up to a month although we recommend to start with a weeks booking. If you want to stay longer, speak to Reception during your stay and they’ll be able to check availability for you.

What’s an en-suite room?

A room that has its own bathroom. It means you don’t have to go outside your room to use the toilet or shower.

What’s a dorm room?

If you book a dorm room, you’ll be sleeping in a triple bunk bed and sharing your room with other travellers therefore consider the amount of people when you make a booking! If you like privacy, we always recommend to go for a private room. Dorm rooms range in size from 3 bed to 18 bed dorms, depending on which hostel you stay in.

What’s a private room?

A private room is a twin or double room that’s just for you, or for you and your friends. If you don’t fancy sharing with people you don’t know, this is the option for you! Twin and double rooms are always private and you can make any dorm private by booking out all the beds in the room.

What’s the difference between a twin room and a double room?

A twin room is a room that has two single beds and a double room is a room that has one double bed.

Are the dormitories mixed?

Dorms are mixed unless you book a ‘Female Only’ dorm. We don’t have boys only dorms in any of the hostels.

How do I get to Home?

Our hostels are close to the main transport hubs in London and Brighton, therefore you shouldn’t have trouble finding us! Check out the hostel location pages for directions:

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is from 2:00pm. Our London Reception is open 24/7 therefore you can check-in any time before 5:00am. Our Brighton reception has different opening hours, you can find them here. If you arrive before 2:00pm, feel free to pop your bag in the free luggage room and get out and explore the city! If you’re leaving any valuables, make sure to rent a secure locker.

Check-out time is 10am on the day that you’re leaving. Please drop your key card back at Reception to get your £10 cash deposit back. If you aren’t leaving the city until later in the day, then then leave your bag in the luggage room for £2.00 bag/day and carry on exploring.

What’s the deal with breakfast?

London: Breakfast is included in the price and we are the only hostel serving pancakes! There is also toast, cereal, spreads, coffee, tea, juice and milk.

Do you provide bed linen and towels?

Fresh linen is provided for all beds and towels are included in a private room. If you are in a dorm, you can rent or buy a towel at reception.

Are there hairdryers / irons in the rooms?

We do have hairdryers and an iron but they are not located in the room, just ask at reception where to find it!

Can I smoke in the hostels?

We do have designated smoking areas outside but it is a big NO NO for smoking inside the building!
